Surface Pattern Designer

Hi, my name is Bethan James. I am a surface pattern designer, based near Bridgend, I have recently graduated from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David Swansea collage of art. During my time at University I was able to work collaboratively with different companies such as, Idot and Patternbank to create collections for both fashion and interior design briefs. These collections can be found on this webpage.
Most of the patterns are created for a fashion context. I often use digital printing and a range of different screen printing techniques to bring my work to life, as well as using hand stitching and embroidery which have become key element of my working process. My work is heavily influenced by flora and fauna with a particular interest in tropical plants.
